Mission Statement
Our mission is to support those unspoken victims brave enough to speak up at all costs to stop someone they love or care for from causing pain to themselves or another and to encourage others to be brave enough to speak out if they know someone they love or care for is or will cause pain to another human being. In addition we will assist victims who survived the pain inflicted upon them when no one was willing to speak up on their behalf.
The act of reporting any form of physical or mental abuse can be a life changing event, sometimes coming from shame, guilt, and even social ostracization of the person who is brave enough to speak up. Reporting these crimes is often the first step towards preventing the pain of other victims and breaking the cycle of abuse, not only for the victim who the abuse is being inflicted upon but also for the person committing the abuse who may also be able to make a change for the better once the report is made and their actions addressed. At Prevent The Pain, we aim to support people who are brave enough to make these reports and to encourage those who are thinking about doing so by providing them with support, counseling, and encouragement.
